We have mentioned our investigation of Michael Connell in previous posts and our $500,000 reward for information about him and his companies, GovTech Solutions and New Media Communications. He is the Bush family IT guru who was in charge of the election computers in Ohio 2004 for Ken Blackwell and a top man in the IT network in Florida 2000 for Jeb Bush. He has been involved with the majority of GOP election scandals for the past decade and handles a Who’s Who of GOP IT work.
Well, guess who Mr. Connell and his companies are working for now? None other than John McCain. Connell has been hired to “win” the election in November against the Democratic nominee. That’s “win” as in George Bush win in Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004. So Democrats beware and be prepared.
We have been investigating Connell and his associates for quite a long time and we will soon be breaking some very disturbing stories about his work for the GOP. Connell is a brilliant IT man who took the wrong path, a Dr. Josef Mengele of the GOP. A man who believes so deeply in his Catholic faith that saving the babies caused him to sell out his soul and principles to the Bush family. He may be the key person responsible for the Bush “wins” in Florida and Ohio, and by extension the deaths and injury of tens of thousands of American soldiers in Iraq, the destruction of that country and the death of up to a million Iraqis. Heck of a job, Mikey -- we don’t think the Catholic Church would approve.
We believe a Congressional investigation and a special prosecutor are in order to expose Connell. We hope that our upcoming exposes’ will prompt quick action so Connell cannot be a key player in another tainted election.
On Super Tuesday in Los Angeles, the ballot provided to non-partisan voters required that two bubbles be filled out rather than one required for partisan voters. The ballot and the officials in the polling places caused such confusion that nearly 100,000 non-partisan votes have been discarded because both bubbles were not filled out. The elections officials are now saying that they cannot count the votes because they cannot with certainty determine the voters’ intent. This is wrong since most of the voters voted for a particular presidential candidate. Attorneys from the Courage Campaign, a VR affiliate, sent a three-page letter to the LA County Board of Supervisors calling for all ballots to be counted, in response to Logan's report claiming it would be "impossible." That letter is here [PDF], and includes this notable graf:
In response to the Florida electoral fiasco in 2000, California voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 43 on March 5, 2002 which amended Article II of the California Constitution as follows: A voter who casts a vote in an election in accordance with the laws of this State shall have that vote counted. Further, state law clearly states that when reviewing votes and voting systems, Election Code requirements "shall be liberally construed so that the real will of the electors will not be defeated by any informality or failure to comply with all of the provisions of the law." (See Cal. Elec. Code Sec. 19001.)
The group has created an online petition calling on Los Angeles County's Acting Registrar of Voters, Dean Logan, to count every vote. Nearly 40,000 people have signed the petition and VR urges all of our members to do so and pass this petition to others. Every vote should be counted.
